The Janaza (Islamic funeral) prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Kevin Ayodele, close friends and key members of the team of boxing superstar Anthony Joshua, has been scheduled for Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The prayer service will take place at 10:00am at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
The bodies of Ghami and Ayodele were recently repatriated to the United Kingdom following a tragic road accident in Nigeria that claimed their lives. The announcement of the funeral arrangements was made in a statement shared on Saturday by Boxing King Media, which expressed condolences, noting: “Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones.”
Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele lost their lives in a fatal crash on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, in the Makun area of Ogun State. The accident occurred when a Lexus SUV conveying Anthony Joshua collided with a stationary truck. While Joshua sustained only minor injuries, both Ghami—his strength and conditioning coach—and Ayodele—his personal trainer—were pronounced dead at the scene.
The London Janaza prayer will provide an opportunity for family members, friends, and the global boxing community to come together to honour the lives, service, and memories of the two men, whose contributions extended beyond the ring and deeply impacted those around them.
May their souls rest in perfect peace.
